Lynn Harper is wife of White House Chief of Staff Mars Harper. She is the daughter of a prominent politician who was known as the lion of the Senate. At some point when Lynn was injured she became addicted to opioid drugs. Lynn’s drug use became out of control and she needed to enter rehab services multiple times. Her addiction led to difficulties in her marriage. After receiving rehab Lynn was able to start rebuilding her life with her husband. Mars believed that Lynn should become a candidate for a special election race to fill her father’s old Senate seat in order to be a voice for better drug rehabilitation care.
