Julia Rombauer is a law professor at Cornell University and mentor to President Tom Kirkman. She was assigned by the president to vet judicial candidates for the Supreme Court. When Jack Bowman rejected President Kirkman's independent Chief Justice he planed to nominate Rombauer for the position but she had to refuse because she had earlyonset dementia. She came with with the compromise to only seat eight Justice and let the next president seat the ninth.
